General Terms and Conditions STUDEO-NT2
Article 1 – Definitions
In these general terms and conditions, the following definitions apply:
STUDEO-NT2
The provider of Dutch as a second language (NT2) courses, training, and educational services.
Participant / student
The natural person who takes a course or other educational service from STUDEO-NT2 and is not acting in the course of a profession or business.
Course / educational service
Education, training, coaching, or guidance, including any teaching materials, tests, intake interviews, or online learning environments.
Teaching materials
All materials provided by STUDEO-NT2, such as books, readers, digital files, and assignments.
Agreement
The agreement between STUDEO-NT2 and the participant regarding participation in a course or educational service.
Article 2 – Applicability
- These general terms and conditions apply to all agreements between STUDEO-NT2 and the participant.
- By registering for a course, the participant agrees to these terms and conditions.
- Deviations from these terms are only valid if confirmed in writing by STUDEO-NT2.
Article 3 – Offer and registration
- The offer of STUDEO-NT2 includes a clear description of the course, including content, duration, start date, and price.
- Registration can take place via email, website, or a registration form.
- The agreement is concluded once STUDEO-NT2 has confirmed the registration.
Article 4 – Prices
- All prices are stated in euros and include VAT, unless otherwise indicated.
- Any additional costs, such as teaching materials or exam fees, are clearly stated in advance.
Article 5 – Payment
- Payment is made via bank transfer or other offered payment methods.
- STUDEO-NT2 may require that the full course fee is paid no later than 10 working days before the start of the course.
- If payment in installments has been agreed, the agreed payment terms must be followed.
Article 6 – Cancellation by the participant
Cancellation before the start of the course
Cancellation must be made in writing or by email.
The following costs will be charged:

Early termination
If a participant terminates a course early:
- administrative and start-up costs (maximum 50% of the course fee) will be charged, plus the cost of lessons already attended.
The total costs will never exceed the full course fee.
Article 7 – Cooling-off period for online registration
If the agreement is concluded at a distance (for example via the internet), the participant has a 7-day cooling-off period to cancel the agreement without giving any reason.
If the course has already started at the participant’s request, a proportional part of the costs may be charged.
Article 8 – Start of a course
- STUDEO-NT2 will inform participants no later than 5 working days before the start whether the course will take place.
- A course will only start with a sufficient number of participants.
If a course does not take place, the participant will receive a full refund or may join another course (to be agreed upon).
Article 9 – Entry level
For some courses, an intake interview or level test may be required to determine the appropriate language level.
If a participant chooses not to take part in an intake and it later appears that the level is not suitable, STUDEO-NT2 cannot guarantee that the course is appropriate.
Article 10 – Attendance
- Cancellation of a lesson must be made at least 12 hours in advance via email or with the teacher.
- In consultation with the teacher, a catch-up lesson may be scheduled. Additional costs may apply.
Article 11 – Private lessons
Private lessons or catch-up lessons can be cancelled free of charge up to 48 hours before the start.
In case of later cancellation, the full lesson fee will be charged.
Article 12 – Teaching materials
- It is not permitted to copy, distribute, or publish teaching materials without written permission from STUDEO-NT2.
Article 13 – Liability
- STUDEO-NT2 is not liable for indirect damages, such as study delay or loss of income.
- Liability of STUDEO-NT2 is limited to the amount paid for the relevant course.
Article 14 – Privacy
Personal data of participants is treated confidentially and used only for administrative purposes and communication about the course.
Article 15 – Complaints
- Complaints can be submitted via email.
- STUDEO-NT2 aims to handle complaints within 10 working days.
Article 16 – Force majeure
If lessons cannot take place due to force majeure (for example illness of the teacher or technical problems), the lesson will be rescheduled. If necessary, an additional lesson will be planned.
Article 17 – Applicable law
All agreements between STUDEO-NT2 and the participant are governed by Dutch law. Any disputes will be submitted to the competent court in the Netherlands.
